Door Prize Drawings 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Free ticket for drawings to each child at entrance! Additional tickets avail for $1 donation to food shelf or bring non-perishable food item.

Captain Cool Kid!

By day, Nate Brown is a mild-mannered kindergarten teacher at Cambridge Primary School.

On the weekends, though, Brown, a 2015 Forest Lake grad, turns into his alter ego: Captain Cool Kid.

When it comes to creating children’s music, it’s hard to find someone cooler than Captain Cool … er, Brown. He has created one children’s music album titled “Songs 4 Every 1,” and he already is at work on a second album.

What’s more, Brown won on one of the days of the Minnesota State Fair’s Amateur Talent Contest. And while he did not win the overall title, he earned a chance to perform on the Grandstand on Sept. 4 and received glowing reviews.

All in a day’s work for Captain Cool Kid, who admits that his superhero moniker is a bit of a goof.

“It came from me not thinking that I’m a cool person at all,” Brown said. “I even have a song titled, ‘Cooler Than Me.’

Ms Jazee Balloon Art!

Over 20 years of creating beautiful or whimsical balloon art and studying under expert balloon twisters has made Ms. Jazee the master balloon artist she is today. She has a history of WOW-ing audiences with her balloon twisting capabilities in environments as different as county fairs, birthday parties and corporate picnics.

Showing appreciation, sharing friendship, extending love, sharing smiles, seeing joy, feeling excitement….those are all the moments Ms. Jazee creates.

Ms. Jazee customizes her customer service to fit the event. She is the fun clown, twisting balloons into animals or hats for a child. Her magical balloon twisting art brings wonderment and awe to every setting she touches.

Paul Bunyan!

Paul Bunyan's "tall tale" has been told around the world for years . As long as we can remember, Babe the Blue Ox and Paul have been fashioning the lakes and rivers of this great country, a job they love. But a couple of years ago, Paul thought a vacation was in order, and decided to come in from the woods. His travels have taken him from sea to shining sea. Along the way, he stopped to visit lumberjack events, axe throwing bars, county fairs, town festivals and other celebrations.

It was at these events that Paul found everyone wanted to take "selfies" with him. Some wanted to see if they could hold his mighty axe. People of all ages just wanted to hang out with him.

Come on out and see Paul Bunyan at the Isanti County Fair!
